  • ┆3 small folders containing booklets of prints of various Japanese artworks, two of which have had their titles translated by a library colleague. the translated titles are 'Bairei's Album of One Hundred Birds' with art by Kono Bairei which contains illustrtions of various different breeds of birds. the second book is 'Illustrated Book of Mountain Grasses' with art by Tachibana Noyamagusa which contains illustrations of various flowers and plants. The third album seems to mix the two and contains illustrations of various birds and flowers.
Administrative history
  • ┆A set of three artwork books they were likely used as a teaching resource in the art department. Drawings like these could be used as reference by art/design/fashion students for inspiration in their work. The books were then passed on to DMU Special Collections and the book titles were translated by library colleague Joanna Dare.
